Depression is a term and experience that many of us are familiar with, but did you know it can be overcome? Sadness, hopelessness, lack of motivation, and negative thinking for an extended period of time are common signs of depression. Many believe you have to live with depression the rest of your life, but that is not true. Even if we are more likely to experience a depressed mood based on our personality or a biological component this can all be overcome. Depression is not something you have, but something you experience. The main culprit of Depression stems from specific experiences in life that have been interpreted negatively leading to negative beliefs and thinking. Depression is really like a check engine light or warning signal where our mind is communicating that something needs to be looked into and addressed in our thought life. At ABL Counseling we will work with you to develop a transformation plan tailored made for you that is simple, attainable, and empowering to live your life more fully and battle negativity.
